Policies

 Storage units with roll-up doors
  1. Please pay on time.
    All rent is due on the 1st of each month and will be considered late on the 11th. We do not send statements.
  2. Late payments result in the following:
    a. Unit will be over-locked until payment is current
    b. Late charges if paid after 10th of month: $15.00/$20.00*
    c. Preliminary Lien Notice - after 14th: $20.00
    d. Lien Notice - 30 days plus late: $40.00
    e. Advertising fee: $75.00
    f. Sale of stored goods by public auction as defined by lease
    g. Sale cost: 15% of sale price/ $100 vehicle lien
    *Based on rent amount
  3. There is a $25.00 charge for any returned check.
  4. We do not insure tenants or their possessions.
    Tenant to provide own insurance. Third-party insurance applications are available at office.
  5. It is a tenant's responsibility to keep Huck Finn informed of current address.
  6. Vacating Policy:
    We require a five day notice of intention to vacate. Your rent must be current, five day notice given, space left broom clean and you must inform the office on the day you vacate to be eligible for your deposit refund. Notice must be given 5 days prior to your current paid to date.
  7. Refunds are mailed and take 15 to 25 days to reach you.
  8. No refund of rental payments.
    We can pro-rate your rent with proper notice. Pro-rates must be paid before due date.
  9. Current Office Hours:
    (subject to change)
    Hallway keys are issued during office hours only.
    Office: Monday-Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Keys will not be issued during last (15) minutes of access time.
    NOTE: Hallway keys must not be removed from the premises. Any tenant who leaves with a key will be charged an additional fifty dollars rent to offset the cost of changing the locks on the doors. This additional rent is due immediately. It will be considered delinquent rent if not paid in fifteen days and Huck Finn will over-lock the doors and proceed in accordance with the rental agreement and Business and Professions code section 21700.
  10. Gate Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    No admittance after 6:45 p.m.
  11. Office and gate closed on posted holidays.
  12. Use of dumpster is limited to small quantities.
    Large amounts of discards and household furnishings must be removed from premises by tenant.
  13. Coded entry must be used.
    Do not follow another car in.
  14. No motor vehicle or any vehicle that is required by law to be registered may be stored inside Huck Finn's Building Units!
  15. Hazardous Waste Policy:
    Warning—it is a federal offense to store hazardous or toxic waste in this facility.
